Is cereal soup or not?

look cereal's been around forever but does milk make it soup? some say no way, others say sure. it's one of those dumb debates that pops up every so often and honestly im just curious where people land on this. do you overthink food categories or just eat the damn thing?

cereal is NOT soup lol!! like, soup is cooked, has like broth or something, and isnt cold with milk besides, who even cares?? just eat it if you like it. overthinking food categories is so random

okay but milk and cookies?? thats a snack a float is a drink. cereal with milk is... breakfast? idk man the rules are fuzzy here. like is oatmeal soup too then? where does it end? maybe we should just call it 'milk-based chaos' and move on.

Cereal is certainly not soup at all. Soup is properly prepared and cooked. Soup may alo contain water as well. On the other hand, cereal may actually contain milk and cereal. So, cereal is certainly not soup.
