like i get it, its cool and all that ai can spit out a million variations of a cat wearing a top hat in 2 seconds but at the end of the day its just remixing existing stuff right? its not ~creating~ anything new, its just rearranging pixels based on what its been fed isnt that just glorified plagiarism but with a techy coat of paint? ngl i dunno, maybe im being a stick in the mud but it feels weird to call something 'original' when its built off a mountain of other peoples work. idk man, seems like we should at least acknowledge thats what its doing instead of acting like its some groundbreaking artist. also side note, why does every ai painting look like it was made by someone whos never seen a face before lol. those creepy melted people portraits arent helping its case.
