why do some dj sets feel like they’re narrating a sci-fi movie???

okay so i was listening to this set last night and halfway through i legit forgot i was just in my room... it felt like i was piloting a spaceship or something?? like the transitions and buildups were so EPIC it was giving me serious interstellar vibes is it just me or do certain tracks have this way of pulling you into a whole other reality?? maybe its cuz i watch too many space documentaries (guilty!!) but idk man some of those bass drops hit like youre exiting a wormhole. or maybe its just how the reverb and delay mess with your brain?? anyway if anyone has recs for sets or tracks that feel like this hmu... lowkey also side note has anyone heard of that band 'stars of the lid'? theyre not dj stuff but their music is so spacey it kinda fits this mood too
