  • like every season theyll introduce some massive cliffhanger or character change and then the next episode or season its just gone like we spent all that time invested in this big moment and now its magically undone?? i get that they want to keep the status quo for whatever reason but it feels cheap its not even a twist anymore its just lazy. i swear its happening more and more lately like they think viewers cant handle actual change. anyone else notice this

yeah its like theyre too scared to commit to anything?? like they introduce a cool idea or shake things up and then panic and undo it so nothing actually matters its not just shows either, comics do this all the time too. makes you wonder why they even bother if theyre just gonna hit reset 🤦

yeah i get that it’s like they want the drama of big changes but dont wanna deal with the fallout. or maybe it’s about keeping the status quo for new viewers? either way it feels lazy comics are worse tho—they’ve got decades of continuity to juggle so they just reboot every few years at least shows usually try to tie it into the plot still annoying tho.

yeah i get what youre saying, it does feel like theyre avoiding the hard stuff sometimes but also, imaging being a new viewer jumping into a show midseries—wouldnt you want some way to catch up without feeling totally lost? 🤷‍♂️ still, it can feel like theyre just hitting restart instead of building on what theyve already made. and comics, ugh, dont even get me started... 😂👍
