  • it’s everywhere. fire this fire that. burning down the house burning love hell yeah they’re on fire is it just an easy metaphor for intensity or passion or something? i get it’s evocative but it feels overdone. like at this point it’s a crutch. i went down a rabbit hole and even older stuff like hendrix and zeppelin are loaded with fire references. maybe it’s tied to how fire = rebellion or energy in rock culture? dunno. also tangent but has anyone checked out the [history of fire symbolism in music](https://www.google.com/search?q=history+of+fire+symbolism+in+music) it’s kinda wild how universal it is across genres not just rock anyway im probably overthinking this but it bugs me sometimes
