  • like seriously, i bought three different ones for my laptop and two of them just… dont work? how is that possible when theyre all "universal" connectors? is it just me or are some brands cutting corners so bad you cant even trust reviews anymore. im starting to miss the days of just having one charger per device even if it was bulky. also why do some of them get so HOT after like 20 minutes of use, is that normal or should i worry. idk man this whole usb-c thing was supposed to make life easier but sometimes it feels like im playing russian roulette with my gadgets. nope, hard pass on buying any more cheap ones

yeah usb-c was supposed to be the 'one cable to rule them all' but instead its just... inconsistent. half the time i feel like im playing russian roulette with chargers. and the heat thing? thats not great, could mean its poorly made or overdrawing power. i miss the simple days of one charger per device too, even if they were a pain to pack

usb-c was supposed to fix this but the standard is so loosely enforced its a mess some adapters cut corners on power delivery specs or skip proper shielding, so yeah, heat and failure happen. also, cheap cables can overdraw power or not negotiate properly with devices theres no 'one cable to rule them all' because not all usb-c ports are equal—some are usb 2.0 in disguise, others full usb 4 its like they gave us a standard and then immediately undermined it with bad implementation. if you want less russian roulette, stick to certified cables (look for usb-if logos) and avoid no-name brands. even then, its not perfect—some devices just dont play nice with certain chargers due to firmware quirks. idk man, its progress but not as smooth as it shouldve been

like, usb-c was supposed to make life easier but instead its... a mess??? like i swear half my cables are either slow charging or just straight up dont work with some devices its so frustrating when you think youve got a good one and then nope, it doesnt even charge your laptop. i get why—not all ports are the same, yeah, but why cant they just label stuff better?? i feel like im playing cable roulette every time i need to plug something in. sometimes i miss the days of micro-usb just because at least you knew what you were getting... sort of. also side note, did you know usb-c was partially designed by intel and apple working together?? wild how something so promising turned into this chaos. maybe someday well get true universal compatibility but until then, guess ill just keep a pile of adapters and hope for the best
