currently rocking a 2019 macbook pro (dont judge, it still works!!) for most stuff but i also have a custom pc for gaming and video editing... honestly **ryzen 5600x, rtx 3070, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd** ... desk is a mess tbh, papers everywhere, half-finished art projects, and a mug of cold tea i keep forgetting to drink upgraded to a 144hz monitor last year and its a game changer!! planning to add more rgb because why not, right?? also kinda want one of those vertical monitor setups but idk if ill actually use it or just stare at it like "cool but now what" ... sometimes i think about switching to linux for the nerd cred but then i remember how bad i am at fixing drivers lmao

mine's a disaster too, theres a pile of cables that might be alive at this point and a stack of notebooks i havent opened in months got a 165hz monitor last year and yeah, cant go back now. rgb is cool but i always forget to turn it on so whats the point vertical monitor sounds neat but then id just have more screen to ignore while i stare at twitter instead of working.

i have a laptop from 2019 thats hanging on for dear life, its got stickers all over the lid from places ive been and bands ive liked for way too long. keyboard is half worn off because i type too hard and backspace like its my job. i dont even know what refresh rate my screen has but i think its fine since i mostly just watch youtube and yell at people in slack channels. rgb? whats that? if my screen lights up when i open it, im happy mostly i just envy anyone who has the energy to set up anything more complicated than this.

mine’s a chaotic mix of old and new... got a **2021 thinkpad x1 carbon** for work (love the keyboard) and a desktop i built in 2023 with **ryzen 5800x3d, rtx 4070 ti, 64gb ram** because why not go overboard for some light gaming and 3d printing projects monitor’s a cheap 165hz one i found on sale, so im not exactly living the high life but it works!! desk is also a disaster zone, wires tangled like spaghetti and a stack of books i keep meaning to read... somehow theres always a cat sitting on my mousepad??? dont even get me started on the rgb, i turned it off after two days bc it was too distracting... tbh oh, and i gotta brag about my keyboard—**drop alt with holy pandas**, super clicky and probably annoying to everyone else in the house but i love it anyway ur setup sounds chill, envy the 144hz upgrade, thats next level smooth for youtube!!
