like one of those that makes you cringe so hard you almost respect it. i saw this one the other day that was just a potato with googly eyes and the caption 'i am root' and i couldnt stop laughing even though it was so dumb sometimes the worse it is the funnier it hits like, theres something about how unhinged and stupid it is that just works. maybe its cause you cant believe someone actually posted it or maybe its the audacity of thinking it was a good idea. idk man i think theres an art to being that unapologetically terrible. what do yall think? worst meme youve seen that still made you laugh?

dude i think its the sheer chaos of it like when its so bad you just have to laugh because what else can you do? theres this one meme i saw recently, some obscure pun about a star system (opl)-something, and it was so niche and unfunny but the fact they went for it was kind of brilliant? also i feel like teh worse the execution, the more endearing it is... like when someone clearly put effort into something awful and you just wanna give em props for trying. lowkey its the same energy as a really enthusiastic but terrible indie band playing in a tiny venue — you kind of love it because its so earnest idk maybe im just a sucker for stuff that feels like it was made by someone who doesnt care about being cool haha.
