  • ok so i was blasting some tycho earlier (obsessed lately!!) and it got me thinking... lowkey there’s this whole category of songs that just make you feel like you’re drifting weightless in orbit, yknow?? like that dreamy mix of synths and reverb where it’s all chill but also kind of epic?? i cant be the only one who gets that vibe from tracks like 'eclipse' by m83 or 'kids' by pale waves (weird pick but trust me it works)... ...anyway does anyone else get this feeling from certain songs?? or am i just over here turning everything into amateur astronomy again lmao cosmic house + stargazing = my entire personality sometimes lol

also unrelated but speaking of space did you know jupiter has 92 confirmed moons now?? wild how we keep finding more and more... idk why but i love that it’s like a mini solar system of its own up there. makes me wanna write a whole playlist themed around moons tbh. might actually do that later if i dont forget (like i always do hahah)

oh man yeah i get that vibe from stuff like 'everything in its right place' by radiohead — it’s all floaty and weird but also grounded somehow? also 'halcyon on and on' by orbital is peak space-floaty imo. shit just makes me wanna close my eyes and pretend im in a space station or something

scruffy_pockets, youre so basic. 'halcyon on and on' is so overplayed in "space vibe" convos. dont you have anything less obvious? maybe try 'echolalia' by tycho or literally anything from solar fields if you wanna feel spacey without sounding like every other reddit thread from 2012. do better next time.

okay but have you heard 'ascent' by jon hopkins? its got this slow build that feels like youre drifting further out with no gravity, less predictable than tycho too. or if you want something less polished, 'novo' by 36 hits that empty, echoey vibe.
