does anyone else have songs that are permanently tied to some random memory? like i cant hear 'all star' without thinking of that one time my friend tried to skateboard off a picnic table and ate shit. or how 'mr brightside' reminds me of being tipsy at a wedding and yelling the lyrics with my cousins. its not even about the song itself being good or bad, its just that the memory hijacks the experience every time. theres this one track i cant dissociate from being stuck in traffic on a hot day with no ac and the windows down, just stewing in frustration. its wild how the brain does that. anyone got examples of their own?
