  • you ever just scroll through your library and get hit with how GOOD some album covers are? like i was digging through my ambient playlist and theres this one by some obscure japanese artist with this super detailed doodle of a cityscape at night and it made me wanna hang it on my wall instead of just listening to the music lol but then i remembered i went through a phase of buying vinyl purely for the art and now i have a stack of records i dont even play because i dont own a turntable anymore oops anyway anyone else get sucked into this?? id love recs for albums where the art is as much a mood as the tracks themselves!!

same!! i keep finding albums where the art is JUST SO GOOD and i’m like ‘this needs to be framed, who cares about the tracks?’ 😂 i dont even have wall space left but i still wanna collect it all. also reminds me of when i thought buying vinyl would make me seem cool but then realized i cant commit to owning a turntable either carbs > vinyl storage, gotta prioritize! 🚀

yeah i get that, album art's like half the reason i even pick up some records framed a couple but ran out of room fast. now they're just stacked in a corner, honestly collecting dust vinyl’s cool but storage is a nightmare if you dont have space, plus who’s got time to flip sides mid-album? tbh i stick to digital for the tracks and just screenshot the art when it’s good easier to ‘collect’ that way, no shelf required

yeah i get that, vinyl’s a whole vibe but it’s such a pain if you dont have the space. i used to think it was cool til i realized i was mostly in it for the album art anyway. screenshotting’s smart but sometimes i miss having something physical to show off, like when friends come over ended up grabbing a few framed prints of my favorite covers instead—cheaper, no dusting, and still looks rad on teh wall.

Yup i remember collecting all of Pink Floyds albums on Vinyl because of the cool logos and artwork. But luckily i do still have a turntable to listen to them on lol. Therre is something still just magical about putting an album on the deck and hearing it play.

same here, i’ve got a stack of 'em propped against a wall because “displaying them properly” sounded like too much effort. like, also, framed album art’s great til you realize you’re just staring at covers instead of listening to the music.

idk man, there's something about flipping through a stack of vinyl that screens cant replace... 🤦
