idk why but lately i keep noticing how many album covers have skies on them

like not even dramatic sunsets or storm clouds, just... skies. empty blue or gray ones. tbh and it makes me wonder if its supposed to be symbolic of something or if its just lazy design. i get it, the sky feels big and endless and maybe its supposed to make you think about freedom or open space but at this point its so overdone it just feels boring or maybe its just me being picky whats worse is when its obvious stock photography. you can tell because its too perfect, no smudges or weird cloud shapes, just this flat clean gradient that looks like it was whipped up in 5 minutes. im not saying every album needs to have some wild intricate design but cmon, put a little effort in. anyway does this bug anyone else or am i just overthinking it
