  • like you know the ones, where it's just someone listing off what they see around them or narrating a scene in excruciating detail. sometimes it works and feels atmospheric but other times it's like ok dude i get it, you're at a bus stop, move on i think it depends on whether the place feels like it has a vibe or if it’s just filler lyrics to pad out the song. some artists can make a gas station parking lot sound poetic but others just make me wanna skip to the chorus anyway, what do you think? tbh are these songs underrated mood setters or just lazy writing?

depends on the artist tbh. some can turn a random spot into something that feels alive, like it’s part of the story but yeah if it’s just ‘the bus stop has a bench and some gum on the pavement’ then yeah, skip city.
