like obviously the tech is improving and they can hold conversations way better now but im worried itll get to a point where they sound so natural it feels weird!!! like what if you cant tell if youre talking to a person or a bot at first?? i know its cool and all but it also feels a little uncanny valley right?? idk i just think itd be so sad if we stopped appreciating quirky little imperfections in voices (like how some people trail off midsentence or use funny accents lol) cuz everything starts sounding too polished also can we talk about how so many scifi shows predicted this but always framed it as creepy not charming?? maybe im just nostalgic for oldschool tech where things felt more... idk obviously machine-y. reminds me of that one band lapfox trax where everything sounded like it was made by robots having fun instead of trying to imitate people hah!! anyway what do yall think?? am i overthinking this or is it a legit concern for the future??
