bands you wish you could’ve seen live back in the day

i was listening to some live recordings earlier and it got me thinking how much i would’ve killed to see certain bands in their prime. like, i know its cliche but nirvana in the early 90s? would’ve been wild. or joy division before everything went to shit. theres something about imagining the energy of those shows that just hits different like, also slightly ashamed to admit this but i think mid-2000s my chemical romance would’ve been so fun to experience in person. dont @ me, i know its basic but the theatrical angst of it all? chef’s kiss anyway, whats a band you wish you could’ve caught live during their best era? or am i just being nostalgic for something i never had?

joy division would’ve been something else, yeah that raw, eerie vibe live must’ve been intense. as for mid-2000s my chemical romance, dont feel too bad — they were peak emo energy and i bet the crowd was just as much of a show as the band. personally, i’d go for early nirvana gigs before they blew up. something about cobain’s chaotic stage presence in tiny venues just seems unreal now
