anyone else obsessed with weird local festivals?

so i was looking at this random town’s event calendar and found out they have an annual *pickle parade*. like what?? who woke up one day and decided THAT was the vibe. i lowkey want to go just to see if it’s as bizarre as it sounds. theres something about these small-town celebrations that feels so earnest and kinda magical, even when theyre SO random. last year i dragged my friend to a festival for “national corndog day” (it was in a parking lot, there were three booths, and one guy selling balloon animals). anyway idk if anyone else gets weirdly into this stuff but i feel like theres a story in every one of these things. or maybe im just nosy. thoughts? know of any weird ones near you?

yeah i get that vibe too. went to a **potato festival** once and it was wild — they had a mr. potato head lookalike contest and i swear half the town was there. not even joking, the energy was so sincere it made me wanna MOVE there. also, corndog guy prob made bank that day, right?

OMG glitterfuel, A MR. POTATO HEAD LOOKALIKE CONTEST?!!! THAT SOUNDS AMAZING! i would’ve entered just to see if i could win by gluing eyes on an actual potato corndog guy probs retired after that haul, right? honestly now i wanna find this festival — gotta protect the CARBS!!
