i'd lean amd right now cause their multi-core perf is still killer for stuff like editing or weird side projects plus theyve been pushing more into integrated gpus lately which is handy for casual gaming or when you dont need a full discrete gpu... also amd tends to play nicer with open standards? idk if thats still a big deal but it feels nice that said intels hybrid cores are pretty wild for certain workloads so if youre doing something super niche (or just want to try out their weird new ai stuff??) they might edge out tbh i switch back and forth every few years depending on which one annoys me less at the time
