like i get it, you want my vacation pics to pop or whatever, but now the sky looks like a cartoon and i cant tell if im looking at a sunset or the default windows xp wallpaper cant we just have normal colors without slapping a filter on everything? its not like im trying to sell these as fine art prints, just let me take a regular photo of some clouds.

like you know the one — starts all minor and moody then BAM big major lift halfway through. dont get me wrong, its effective as hell and i still fall for it sometimes, but its so overdone it feels like every newbie producer learned it on day 1 and never let go i get wanting to make people feel something but its like... hey maybe try a different trick once in a while? theres a whole keyboard out there honestly im not saying ban it or anything (its still a banger when done right) but it kinda feels like the musical equivalent of using paprika on everything because you heard its a spice. anyway rant over, whats your most overplayed edm trope?

i was up way too late last night trying to nail this one riff and it hit me how some chords just feel so *nocturnal* while others are just... morning energy, yknow?? idk if its the mood im in or if its something about the sound itself but its wild!! maybe its the lighting in the room or the fact that im listening through headphones half asleep but i cant help thinking some tracks would hit different if you only played em during their ~time~... like imagine a whole playlist calibrated to the hour of the day. actually that might be a fun experiment?? also side note does anyone know any tracks that feel super *dawn-ish* cause im drawing a blank rn and itd be cool to have examples. unless thats just me being weird again lol...

lowkey okay but like why do so many ai demos show it writing resumes or scheduling meetings?? who is out here thinking "wow my life is incomplete without ai doing this for me" LMAO. like yeah sure it could save some time but is that really the pinnacle of what this tech can do? feels like theyre trying to sell us on stuff we dont even want. also why is it always the same examples, cant they think of something slightly more interesting. like, idk maybe im just cynical but it all feels so... uninspired. also whats with the overly polished mockups where everything works perfectly and no one ever has tech issues? we all know real life is way messier than that. cant they show something vaguely realistic for once? nope, hard pass on these demos til they get more creative.

How close are you to your siblings? Are you the type who is always reaching out to them at all times? How have you been handling certain situations that relate to them and the challenges that they face?

seriously, half the names from the early 2000s sound like they were pulled from a bad edm playlist generator whats with all the ‘dj shadow’ ‘deadmau5’ ‘skrillex’ type stuff that just screams ‘this will sound dated in 10 years’? you dont see rock bands naming themselves like that. most of them go for something timeless or at least vague enough to not tie them to a specific era idk maybe its just harder to stay relevant when your name screams ‘i was cool in 2006.’ curious if anyone else thinks about this when they see old festival lineups. feels like only a few names (like carl cox or sasha) managed to not sound cringe decades later

stepped in gum today WHILE wearing shoes and it still pissed me off figured we could rank the worst offenders. is it the squish, the crunch, or just the 'why me' of it all?

like i remember when it was just goofy cases or those extendable selfie sticks that everyone pretended they didnt use now its like... phone cooling fans? gimbal stabilizers? tiny flash drives that plug directly into your charging port? what even is that for, transferring one photo at a time? and dont even get me started on those foldable screen protector kits with the liquid glue. who thought that was a good idea. id rather just deal with a cracked screen than risk gluing my fingers to the phone. its like every year theres some new gadget that solves a problem nobody really had makes me miss the days when the craziest thing you could buy was a bedazzled phone charm. at least that was harmless...

idk about y’all but some songs just hit like a warm hug when everything feels chaotic, you know?? i was listening to 'such great heights' by teh postal service the other day and it was like, hey, life’s messy but maybe its not so bad after all 🤷‍♀️ gives me this weird calm energy even if its not a slow song any tracks like that for you? ones where it feels like the artist is low-key telling you ‘chill, itll work out’ even if theyre not saying it directly. also semi-related but i feel like thats part of why lofi playlists are so big. like, they dont even need lyrics sometimes, just the vibe is enough to be like ‘its fine, keep going’ haha. 🚀

not like in a "wow this giant ball of yarn changed my life" kinda way but like... as placeholders for stories? or anchors in memory? i stopped at one once, some big ol' dinosaur statue off the highway, and it was honestly... terrible. paint chipping, weeds everywhere, probly built in the 70s. but now i cant drive past that stretch of road without remembering it. like it marked teh trip somehow. made it feel realer. idk man maybe its just me but i feel like these dumb cheesy stops are tiny time capsules theyre not art or landmarks but they stick in your head. maybe thats their whole point? to be forgettable enough to remember? also sometimes theyre just funny. honestly saw one that was literally a shoe house just... why. but hey at least it wasnt another gas station. anyone else feel this way or am i overthinking roadside junk?
