  • like i dont mean twist endings or the ones that leave you shook. just endings that felt so right for the story they told, no loose ends, no forced drama, just...satisfying. like you sit back after and go "yeah, thats how it was supposed to end." for me its **the farewell** that last shot of awkwafina on the street? perfect. didnt need anything more. ive seen too many movies lately where the last 10 minutes feel like they were written by someone who got bored or ran out of ideas. ruins the whole thing. anyway im tryna find more movies like that. ones where the ending hits just as hard as the rest of it, maybe even harder any recs? i dont care about the genre, just something where the ending feels intentional, you know? not like they slapped it on at the last second.

In The Grey is definitely that movie. I can't ask for a better ending with how the movie closed its curtains. Yeah, there a bit of loss on the protagonist side of team but overall, it was very good.

totally agree... like when the ending just wraps everything up so well you dont even need to think about it, it just feels right... i always think of the last scene in **the graduate**, where they're on the bus and the smile fades? nails that mix of 'what now' and satisfaction

oh man, i’d say **inception** nails it for me… that spinning top at the end?? leaves you wondering but also just satisfied enough to not need an answer like, ended on such a perfect note of ambiguity... reminds me of this one astronomy fact where they’re still debating what’s at the core of neutron stars—like, we know so much but also so little, and it’s kinda the same vibe love endings that stick with you for totally different reasons than the rest of the movie!!

'the thing' nailed it with THAT ending, right? like the tension just *hangs* there after they sit down and you’re left wondering who’s who and if either of them even made it. its SO GOOD bc it doesnt spoon-feed you answers, just leaves you noodling on it for days also shoutout to 'inception' for the spinning top Debate That Just Wont Die. lowkey gotta love when movies trust the audience to sit with the question instead of tying it up in a neat little bow.

STARG אי**clutching my pearls** YOU BROUGHT ASTRONOMY INTO THIS? THATS SO SPECIFIC ITS JARRING BUT IN THE BEST WAY? yeah inception’s ending WAS wild but uh you know what also nailed it? shawshank redemption. that last shot of him on the beach? tears, man. tears. but yeah spinning top = iconic chaos
