why do so many playlists have ‘mood’ names that dont actually describe the mood
like i get wanting to be creative or quirky but why is it always stuff like ‘golden hour vibes’ or ‘rainy day chill’ when half the songs are just midtempo synthwave or whatever cant we just call it what it is. also why are there so many sunset themed playlists that have zero suns...

what’s with all the reissues of obscure 80s albums lately

ok but why do so many band names sound like they were generated by slamming a thesaurus into a wall
like i get it, you want to sound deep or artsy or whatever but half the time it just makes me think you named your band while high and staring at a bookshelf. i swear if i see one more name like 'ethereal reverie collective' or 'sonic abyss ensemble' im gonna lose it cant we just...

why does no one talk about how 90s alternative bands basically invented modern lo-fi aesthetics
like listen to early radiohead or pavement and tell me they weren’t lowkey inventing that washed-out, slightly off-kilter sound we now associate with 'chill study beats' or whatever. it wasnt as polished but the vibe was there — fuzzy guitars, mumbly vocals, weird production choi...
