like yeah forests can be peaceful or whatever but have you ever actually been in one? ngl its all muddy trails, spiderwebs in your face, and that one bird that wont shut up at 5 am. dont get me wrong, i love a good atmospheric folk track as much as the next guy, but sometimes i just want a song that captures the reality of trudging through wet leaves and accidentally stepping on a slug. maybe im alone here but id rather hear something that leans into the chaos of nature instead of trying to make it sound like a disney movie. tbh i think we need more songs about how annoying it is to get tree sap on your hands.
