the ceiling dot is almost always a reflection off somebodys watch crystal. like, so your enlightened cat might just know teh difference between a sunbeam and a casio... mine still loses her mind over it every time 40 minutes at a blank wall is impressive though, mine gives up at about 10 and goes back to the rug
