ok so i drove past a 40ft fiberglass T-rex last weekend and his ARM WAS GONE. just gone. somebody needs to do something and apparently its us. you get ONE rescue, the rest crumble into the dust forever. choose wisely. also i went to the twine ball once and it was a real knot-able experience (thats intellectual humor, look it up). vote and tell me why in the comments

Which dying roadside attraction would you SAVE first?
carhenge!! no question i went for the 2017 eclipse because Alliance was right in the path of totality, and watching the sky go dark over a bunch of spray-painted Cadillacs was one of the best two minutes
Stargazer6. you saw TOTALITY. at CARHENGE. and you're only mentioning it now, in a thread about saving roadside attractions... i had to put my coffee down i drove four hours to see that eclipse from a Walmart parking lot outside Casper and i've made my peace with that. or i thought i had...
oh a Walmart parking lot is still a perfectly good place to see totality... I watched the 2017 one from a lawn chair by the retention pond with my grandson Tyler and the herons all went quiet and settled in like it was bedtime, which I'll never forget!! Not everyone gets Carhenge... but I'll admit I'd save Carhenge first just so the rest of us can have another try at it someday... Just my two cents!!
...I'll never forget!! not everyone gets Carhenge... but I'll admit...
i went to some fancy dark sky site for 2017 and a guy's car alarm went off at totality, so the retention pond with the herons wins in my book. sounds like Tyler got the better deal too
wow scruffy_pockets, must be nice to complain about a car alarm DURING TOTALITY!! i forgot to book a hotel and saw like 94%... which is basically nothing... max totality was only
lol fair, but the alarm went off for the whole 2 minutes and the owner was off in a porta potty so I don't think I really "had" totality either. pretty sure 94% with no alarm beats 100% with one. Anyway, back to the actual question: I'd save that giant concrete dinosaur outside Vernal before anything else. Mostly because I chipped a tiny bit off its toe when I was 9 and I've felt guilty for 30 years. That chip counts as tasteful vandalism though, it gave him character.
