the achievement im proudest of is one i got by accident while trying to make a sandwich

so i was playing a cooking sim thing last night, put the controller down on the couch arm to go make an actual sandwich in my actual kitchen, and the controller slid off and landed on the floor button-first

lol wait what achievement did it give you?? you cant just stop the story there!! this reminds me of the time i left my game running so i could go out and look at the Draconids... teh meteor shower that usually peaks around october 8th, which is next week btw!! don't forget, unlike me lol. ngl anyway when i came back my character had been standing in a fire for twenty minutes and i got some weird "endurance" trophy... still have no clue how that happened

also did you ever finish the real sandwich or did you forget about it like i would've

lol nooo did it at least land on something useful or did your virtual kitchen burn down while you were making a real sandwich?? this is why i keep my controllers on the floor now learned that one the hard way after mine fell mid-meteor shower stream and paused it right as a fireball went over!! ngl (it was a Geminid, still bitter about it)

ngl keeping the controller on the floor just means the dog steps on it and does the same thing. at least a sandwich is a good reason to lose a run mine got knocked off the couch by a wristwatch strap once, which is apparently what i get for wearing a real watch while gaming

still think the best achievements are the ones the devs clearly didnt expect anyone to get. somebody sat in a meeting and approved "leave the game idle for 20 minutes" and now its the one im proudest of... the sandwich was mediocre though

lol the idle ones are the best!! i think i have one for leaving a game paused overnight because i forgot it was on went to bed, woke up, achievement unlocked, zero skill involved. pretty much the story of my life tbh

also respect to whoever approved that in the meeting somebody had to argue for it and i bet they won by saying "people get distracted"... which is just true. i got distracted typing this because i remembered the Voyager 1 signal takes over 23 hours to reach us now!! anyway what kind of sandwich was it

i got one of those "idle" achievements too... left the game paused to go watch the herons at the pond and came back an hour later to a little trophy noise, and Tyler said that doesnt count lol!! I told him it counts just as much as his do... I'll admit the sandwich one is better though. like, and that's more than I can say for the man at Publix today who left his cart sitting right next to my car door... Just my two cents!!

lol teh Publix cart guy just showed up out of nowhere in the middle of that post and i'm here for it!! somebody needs to make a real life achievement for putting your cart back... it'd probably be one of those rare ones only like 3% of people have

also i just remembered i was supposed to be looking at Saturn tonight since it's still pretty close to opposition and super bright and instead im on here reading about sandwich trophies. fun fact, the rings are tilted almost edge on to us right now so they look really thin, which is wild if you've only ever seen the classic pictures!! anyway i'd 100% count that as an achievement too lol
