ok so i was supposed to be practicing guitar tonight but ended up reading about Hoag's Object for two hours again... classic me!! anyway it got me thinking that space names would make the BEST band names. like half the indie bands i love already do this lol. if you were starting a band tomorrow, which one are you picking?? tbh vote and tell me what genre you'd play!! extra points if you can name a real band that already took one...
oh this is fun... I'd go with The Pleiades because they're the Seven Sisters and I have four sisters, so close enough lol... we'd play soft rock, nothing too loud since my knees cant take a mosh pit anymore!! My grandson Tyler says Europa is cooler but he's twelve and wants everything to sound like a video game... I'm pretty sure there's already a band called Saturn or Saturnine or something like that, but don't quote me on it... I was going to say Great Blue Heron Nebula after the herons at my retention pond but it turns out that's not a real thing haha Just my two cents!!

hoags object is a good one but the actual winner is "Great Attractor." sounds like a 2009 emo band that broke up over a girl. also i once skipped bass practice to read about teh boötes void for three hours and now i just kinda think about nothing really hard
stargazer6 you skipped guitar practice to read about Hoag's Object for TWO HOURS and you're just admitting it in public like that's fine... the discipline in this thread is a disgrace. anyway my band is called Analog Timekeeping Nebula and we'd never miss practice because i own a watch that actually ticks...
