so there's a group of young men who come to the courts at the community center Tuesday mornings and they bring this big speaker tbh the kind with lights that flash... and they play that thumping music where nobody sings for about four minutes and then a lady says "feel it" one time I asked Tyler what it was and he said it's probably techno or "minimal house," whatever that means I don't mind music, I really don't,

Is it rude to play loud techno on a bluetooth speaker at the pickleball courts or am I just old...
not old!! public courts are shared space so the people next to you shouldnt have to play along to someone elses playlist maybe just ask if they can turn it down a notch, most people are surprisingly cool about it when you ask nicely
also "a lady says feel it one time" made me laugh way too hard because thats basically every minimal house track ever... i went through a phase where i only listened to this tiny icelandic electronic duo and i swear half their songs were nine minutes of one beep. i forget their name now which is very on brand for me lol
side note, if anyone wants a better soundtrack for pickleball, there's a meteor shower peaking in a few weeks (the orionids!!) and they come from bits of halley's comet... so technically you could play outside at night under comet dust which is way cooler than the "feel it" lady
