Is DJ still a lucrative career?

Working as a DJ is still giving me some doubts, because income is solely based on how often you get gigs. I am still reasoning if DJs still get gigs these days. What I have observed is that people that have events now make use of portable speakers and play songs themselves. This makes the services of DJs less sought after.

Do you think the career is still something to go into nowadays?

To be honest that carrer is overly saturated nowadays. You can do well maybe if you live in top cities, which only less than 5% have that breakthrough.

I believe it is still a career that can be pursued, especially if you brush up your skills. Using a speaker to play songs is not the same feeling as a DJ in any way.

Get good, then get better.
