why do so many edm tracks use the word 'light' in the title like they're trying to convince us they're profound

honestly its getting old. like yeah we get it, light is a metaphor for hope or joy or whatever but do we need 500 tracks called 'chasing the light' or 'into the light'? its not deep anymore, its just lazy branding cant we get some variety, like 'flickering bulb' or 'that one streetlight that always blinks'? something with a little personality. idk man, maybe im being too harsh but it feels like theyre all chasing the same vibe and it loses its impact after the first dozen tracks. also kinda funny how none of them sound like theyre actually about light, more like generic euphoria rant over.
scruffy_pockets i gasp this is the most outrageous thing ive heard today how dare they reduce light to a cliché when we could have tracks like 'dimmed desk lamp' or 'neon sign flicker' this is an EMERGENCY we need to stage a protest outside their studios or something im not living in a world of 'into the light pt 57'........
lol yeah its like they think slapping 'light' in the title makes it deep. ngl idk man maybe its just easy marketing at this point 'dimmed desk lamp' would actually slap tho, someone needs to produce that.
omg yes!! 'dimmed desk lamp' would absolutely slap as a track name!!! maybe edm artists just want us to feel ~uplifted~ or something but like cmon. 'light' is so overused it doesnt mean anything anymore. unless its about photosensitive pulsars or something actually cosmic? **blinksmoker** did that one song with light in the title but it was ironic at least SMH
