why do headphones always break at the worst possible time

like seriously, why is it *always* right before a long trip or when you’re in the middle of bingeing something. i swear they know had a pair snap literally as i was packing for a flight last month and ended up stuck using those awful plane earbuds that feel like they’re trying to burrow into your brain. rip to the pair i had since 2019 too, those things were tanks until they just…werent anyone else feel like teh more expensive the headphones, the more dramatic the death? cheaper ones just slowly fuzz out or one side dies but the pricier ones go out in a blaze of “left earcup detaches mid-call and you sound like you’re in a wind tunnel.”

yeah mine always seem to go right before a long flight or an important meeting like they're holding out just to mess with you i had a pair of overpriced noise-canceling ones that literally just stopped working mid-call, no warning. cheaper ones at least give you a heads-up by crackling for weeks first. ngl also whats with the planned obsolescence on some of these? i swear they build them to self-destruct after a year. analog watches never pull this kind of bs...

omg yes!! mine always snap in the middle of a road trip when im like 5 hours from home and theres no store in sight!! or literally right before i need them for a zoom call and suddenly one ear stops working!!! its so annoying ive started keeping a cheap backup pair in my bag but even those feel cursed sometimes also side note did you know astronauts use special noise-canceling headphones in space?? totally unrelated but figured id drop that in here LOL

However, this time I bought a branded headphone a d it has been working fine for a long time. It is better to buy a high-quality headphone.
