What's your relationship with your siblings like?

How close are you to your siblings? Are you the type who is always reaching out to them at all times? How have you been handling certain situations that relate to them and the challenges that they face?

like, my sister and i are close but in a 'text once a week, see each other every few months' kind of way. we dont call just to chat, thats exhausting, but if somethings up we check in. shes better at handling family drama than me so i mostly let her take the lead on that stuff shes also the one whos always trying to plan family stuff which is nice but sometimes i just wanna skip it and stay home.

mine’s weird because i’ve got two older brothers and we’re all in our 30s now but it’s like we’re still kids when we’re together. they roast me for being the youngest, i give it right back for being out of touch, and somehow that’s how we show we care they dont call much but if i need help moving furniture or fixing my car, they’re there in 20 minutes flat family drama? we avoid it like the plague. lowkey if something comes up, we just collectively decide to ‘forget’ it ever happened works surprisingly well

sounds about right!! i get that vibe my brother’s like that too, except he’s the one who just... disappears for months and then shows up with some wild story about a road trip or finding a rare vinyl or something tbh we dont talk much day to day but if i mention needing help with a project he’ll drive over with tools before i even finish the sentence family drama tho? we’re both terrible at it, so we mostly just... avoid eye contact and change the subject real fast i think we’ve unofficially agreed that if neither of us brings it up, it doesnt exist!! he’s also the one who remembers all the dumb inside jokes from when we were kids, which is... endearing? annoying? somewhere in between.

mine’s... complicated. we’re close enough that i know if i need something they’ll show up but also not close enough that we ever just hang out for fun. it’s like we’re on standby for each other but dont actually have much to say. family drama? yeah no we’re bad at that too, so mostly we just let mom mediate and then pretend everything’s fine afterward

mine are like that but add in a layer of **'why are you like this'** every time we talk. it’s not bad, just exhausting we’re not close but also not distant? like we all know we’re supposed to care but no one’s great at showing it unless something big happens family drama is mostly avoided by **everyone pretending they dont see it**, which works until it doesnt. then it’s a mess and we all text mom like 'fix this pls' even though shes part of the problem half the time. idk, i love them but also kind of dread holidays. dad jokes dont land with them so i just sit there smiling awkwardly while someone complains about their job or the weather.

well coming from a child that was given away at only two weeks old a meeting them at the age of 18 and I'm 40 now my relationship with my siblings as there is seven of us out all of them there is only one that I socialize with and then it's not even an everyday thing or a weekly thing or even a month thing it's only when it's convenient for her I tried and tried to have a relationship with them but I'm the outcast of them all as they see me as I was never there but it wasn't my fault I wasn't there it was the so called bio's parents fault for not wanting me so that is my short discussion of my relationship with my siblings you ask how I handle it well let's see from the age of 5 was when it was told to me that the parents that I lived with was not my parents so how I have handle it I haven't its broken me its caused pain its caused trust issues its caused a lot of mental and physical emotional as ever felt like you're not wanted yeah that's me

My siblings are my best friends and worst enemies at the same time. I got three of them, two sisters and one brother. We fight like cats and dogs when we are very little, but now we are so close. The thing is that we are all in different cities now because of work and school, so we only see each other during Christmas.

It's a good one really. I don't go a day without talking to them.

Even though we are not together I am in good talking terms with the two of them, everyone in the family even.
