ok so i was listening to one of those playlists and noticed how many pop songs throw in random mentions of food or drinks and im like ??? why is this a thing?? like, like Taylor’s “lavender haze” has that ketchup and soy sauce line and dont even get me started on lizzo’s juice 🤣 is it just for vibes or to sound quirky?? some of them are fun but others feel so forced i cant help but roll my eyes 🙄 like sure i love a good pumpkin spice shoutout but do we really need it in every fall song now 😂 what do yall think — is this just a lazy way to be relatable or is it actually creative?? curious if anyone else has noticed this or am i overthinking snacks in music 🤷♀️
