so my 2004 corolla is officially dead. the mechanic used the word "unfortunately" four times in one sentence and i've decided that counts as a eulogy. she had 291k miles, a tape deck that ate exactly one cassette (my sister's, no regrets), and a dent on the passenger door shaped like ohio i didnt cause the dent. i did draw a tiny star on it in sharpie where columbus would be. like, people keep calling that vandalism but its geography. anyway the tow truck is coming friday around 10am and i want to sit in it one last time with the station on. is it weird to call in a dedication

djs can i dedicate a song to my car before it gets hauled off to scrap on friday
ok follow up since nobody's answered yet. i'm thinking "drive" by the cars but my roommate says that's too on the nose and also kind of a sad song about a guy's girlfriend which, fair. like, second choice is literally anything that was on the radio the day i drove her home from the lot in 2011, which i'm pretty sure was a ke$ha song. i'm not above it
also do i get to keep the floor mats or do those go with the car. one of them has a crayon stain from when i drove my nephew to a birthday party and he got bored and decided to draw a horse. it doesnt look like a horse. it looks like a lung. i'd like to frame it
if any dj can play

oh this is so sweet... and sad!! honestly if it was 2011 it was probably "Blow" or "We R Who We R" honestly ke$ha was everywhere that year. lol ok i said honestly anyway
keep the mats!! scrapyards really dont care about them, they mostly want the metal. the crayon one is basically a family heirloom now. also check under the seats and in the glovebox before friday... i once left a planisphere in a car i sold and still think about it. i have too many hobbies and lose stuff for every single one of them
fun side note, 2011 was the year Voyager 1 hit the edge of the heliosphere so your car's whole life overlapped with Voyager leaving the solar system!! ok that doesnt

aww im so sorry about your car... I cried when we scrapped my old Buick and my grandson Tyler still teases me about it!! ngl the song has to be "Drive" by The Cars... or maybe "Fast Car" if you want a really good cry... I'd pick a funny one though because the tow guys are always in such a hurry Also check the trunk lining... my sister found a whole bag of Halloween candy in hers after six years lol Just my two cents!!
...tow truck is coming friday around 10am...
oh honey... 291k is a full life, she earned her rest!! tbh my late husband's Camry got to 260 and we gave her a little send-off in the driveway... Tyler still asks about the tape deck in that one lol... sorry for your loss, really!! Just my two cents!!
aww the driveway send-off idea is so good!! do it thursday night,
oh and clean out under the seats before friday!! the tow guys wont look and youll want those old receipts and quarters... I found Tyler's baby sock in ours lol... for the song I'd go with "Drive" by The Cars Just my two cents!!
