i got banned from a minecraft server for building a "tasteful" mustache on the spawn statue and i still stand by it

so a friend from work runs this little survival server, maybe 15 people on it right at spawn there's a huge statue of his cat Biscuit that took him like a month. blocks of wool, the whole thing. and at 2am i decided Biscuit needed a handlebar mustache. black concrete, perfectly symmetrical, curled at the ends. ngl i spent forty minutes on it. you could not have done a better mustache if you tried, and i will not be taking questions on that. woke up banned the reason just says "biscuit."

my argument is it looked better with the mustache. two other people on the server agreed with me and one of them made it his skin. so as far as i'm concerned it's a community landmark now and i'm being punished for improving the place he says he'll unban me if i apologize to the cat the real cat on facetime. i'm honestly considering it bc i miss my dirt house and my 11 chickens, but it feels like giving up on principle. has anyone else been banned for something they were actually proud of?? i want to feel less alone. also if you think i'm wrong you can keep it to yourself

the ban reason just being "biscuit." with a period is sending me!! thats a mod who's been personally wounded... forty minutes on symmetrical curls is real dedication tho, i cant even keep my sourdough starter alive that long (RIP gerald, i forgot him in the oven for a week)

also fun fact, there's a crater on the moon called "Hell" and it's named after a priest named Maximilian Hell, so "biscuit" isnt even the weirdest one-word sentence out there... anyway appeal it and say it was an art installation!!

server admins are basically city councils with less oversight. my town fined a guy for painting his own mailbox the wrong shade of green, so a mustache on a public monument was never going to fly... the art install appeal might actually work though, as long as you dont call it an improvement they hate that word for some reason

lol the mailbox thing is wild also my mustache-on-the-statue advice would be to rebuild it on a statue you own, in your own plot, and title it "homage." nobody can ban an homage!! wait does the spawn statue have a name?? if it doesn't you could argue it was always meant to have facial hair and the builder just forgot... i'm saying that as someone who forgets stuff constantly. like i just remembered i have three half-built redstone contraptions and a telescope i haven't collimated since june

lol the "art install" framing is basically my whole legal defense for the gnome i glued to the bus stop in 2019. didnt work but the guy writing the ticket did say it was "kind of charming" so i'm counting that as a partial win

well I'm with you... a stolen gnome isnt a happy ending in my book!! I just watched a Dateline where it started with something small going missing out of a yard and it did NOT end well... Tyler says I'm dramatic but I check on my little frog statue by the retention pond every morning now when I go see the herons just my two cents!!
