The hold music at my pharmacy is an actual song and I need to know what it is...

I was on hold with the pharmacy for 22 minutes yesterday... 22!! And somewhere around minute 9 I realized the hold music was a real song with real singing, not the usual elevator piano... a woman with a low, sort of smoky voice, a little guitar, something about "the long way home" or maybe "the long road home"... I can't be sure because every so often a recording cut in to tell me my

ooh this is my favorite kind of mystery!! Low smoky voice plus "long way home" makes me think of Norah Jones... she covered Tom Waits' "Long Way Home" on Feels Like Home, and that whole album is pretty mellow guitar stuff I could be totally wrong though!! lowkey next time you call, try holding your phone up to Shazam on someone else's phone, or hum it into Google's "search a song" thing I forgot both of those exist about once a week lol.

the real mystery is how a pharmacy hold line gets to 22 minutes when the sign on the door says "we value your time"... id hum it to the pharmacist when you finally get through, they've heard that loop 400 times a day so they probably know exactly what it is and hate it

omg the quote cut off right at the good part!! a woman with WHAT dont leave me hanging lol. if you can remember any lyrics at all, type them out and i'll try to figure out who it is... honestly i'm always hunting for obscure bands, mostly when i should be doing literally anything else

lol sorry, my post got eaten!! the recording kept cutting in to tell me my call was important to them... which I started to doubt around minute 15... the only other bit I'm fairly sure of is "I left the porch light on for you" and I think that was the chorus, because she sang it more than once it was slow and a little twangy, not quite country but close I asked my grandson Tyler and he said "Grandma just Shazam it" like I'm supposed to hold my phone up to my phone lol... I'll call back tomorrow to check on my refill anyway, so if the song comes on again I'll write down everything I hear!!
