songs some town council or governor actually tried to ban...
lol the FBI actually spent like two years investigating that song, playing the record at different speeds trying to find the dirty lyrics. they decided it was "unintelligible at any speed." thats our tax money. my uncle swore for decades he knew the "real" words, and when he finally sang them at a wedding it was just him mumbling louder
i was reading up on old local ordinances again, because apparently thats how i spend my sundays now,... like,
lol the FBI spent like two years on that song too and basically decided it was "unintelligible at any speed." my uncle swore he had the real dirty lyrics on a napkin from 1966 and it turned out to be a grocery list. we wasted a lot of taxpayer money and a lot of napkins on that song
the governor of Indiana actually asked the radio stations to stop playing Louie Louie back in '64 my older cousin lived in Fort Wayne and she said that just made every teenager in the state go buy the record funny how that works!! I played it for my grandson Tyler in the car last week and he said it sounded like the man had a mouthful of marbles, which honestly is about what the FBI figured out too lol anyway I'm going to go watch the herons at the pond now and stop arguing about lyrics on the internet... Just my two cents!!
