so my grandma owns exactly one dvd set its a "best of" collection, 14 episodes, and she's been rotating through them nonstop for like seven years she wont watch anything else. i tried putting on a new show once and she just quietly turned it off and said "that woman hasnt earned my trust"
last weekend i was over and she paused it right before the reveal and told me who did it and WHY, and she pointed at some background guy holding a coffee mug in a scene from 20 minutes earlier. ngl i checked and she was right. i didnt even notice the mug the first time. she says on watch 300-something you start seeing the "real story"
im kind of convinced rewatching one thing forever is a legit form of film study and not just a grandma thing like if you only ever watch the same 14 episodes you basically become a cabot cove forensic expert
anyone else have a person in their life who watches one thing on repeat? or are you that person? what did you notice on rewatch number 50 that nobody else would ever catch
also unrelated but jessica fletcher being at basically every murder in a small town should be its own episode and nobody will convince me other
