so i decided last month i was gonna get into birdwatching!! bought binoculars, a field guide, one of those little waterproof notebooks, a bird feeder AND a folding stool... been out exactly once and i forgot the binoculars at home lol
this is like the fourth time i've done this theres a telescope mount in my closet from when i swore i'd start astrophotography (still love that tbh, i just never finished setting it up). fun fact tho, the binoculars arent a total loss since you can actually see the moons of jupiter with a decent pair!! galileo spotted them in 1610 with a worse scope than most cheap binoculars now... so if the birds dont work out i guess i've got a backup plan
also have a ukulele somewhere... honestly and a sourdough starter that sadly didnt make it
what's the biggest pile of gear you've got for a hobby you basically never did?? please tell me i'm not the only one
