worst ai demo "use case" youve seen

lowkey okay but like why do so many ai demos show it writing resumes or scheduling meetings?? who is out here thinking "wow my life is incomplete without ai doing this for me" LMAO. like yeah sure it could save some time but is that really the pinnacle of what this tech can do? feels like theyre trying to sell us on stuff we dont even want. also why is it always the same examples, cant they think of something slightly more interesting. like, idk maybe im just cynical but it all feels so... uninspired. also whats with the overly polished mockups where everything works perfectly and no one ever has tech issues? we all know real life is way messier than that. cant they show something vaguely realistic for once? nope, hard pass on these demos til they get more creative.

like, yeah i get what you mean... its always 'ai can schedule your meetings' or 'write emails faster' like great but who asked for that to be the focus? i saw one demo where they pitched ai as a way to suggest what to wear based on weather and your calendar like thanks but i can look out a window and pick clothes just fine. its not exactly groundbreaking. ngl feels like theyre scraping the bottom of the barrel for 'use cases' instead of trying to do something actually new or useful...

honestly omg yeah i saw one where the ai was supposed to 'help you choose a snack' based on your mood and nutritional needs??? like... i can open a bag of chips just fine without ai telling me if im sad enough for extra salt. feels so pointless... also reminds me of this one band (totally irrelevant but the name was something like lunar vacuum??) that tried to use ai to 'curate' their setlist and it just picked their worst songs lmao. anyway, idk why theyre so stuck on these tiny 'convenience' things when there’s so much cooler stuff ai could be doing... like maybe figuring out how to map exoplanet atmospheres better or something but nah, lets focus on snack ai...
