God of War Laufey PC Release: Laufey, Phranque, and Rue can be seen in Everywhen.

God of War Laufey was a surprise reveal at the State of Play in June 2026, and lots of discussions have broken out about the bold new direction for the franchise.

The last two games in the franchise have made their way to PC thanks to Sony releasing many of its recent releases on the platform. But, just a few months ago, it was reported that Sony is changing that strategy and going back to PS5 exclusives. So, is God of War Laufey affected? Here is what we know.

God of War Laufey is unlikely to come to PC. Sony is moving its single-player first-party game release strategy to an exclusive model for its consoles only. Therefore, it is unlikely we will see the game hit PC, at least not at release. Sony’s strategy could change, especially as their games aren’t selling as well on PS5 as they have previously, but don’t expect God of War Laufey on the platform when it releases.

“Death was supposed to be the end, but for Laufey (Faye), warrior and wife to Kratos, a new adventure is just beginning. Awakening unexpectedly in a strange land after her death, Faye discovers the plans she put in place to protect Kratos and Atreus in her absence are now at risk.

To save the ones she loves, Faye must fight through the afterlife of the gods – the Everywhen – where ruthless gods from across mythology vie for power in a land overflowing with dangerous magic. Harness Faye’s speed, control, and relentlessness to overwhelm even the fiercest of foes with decisive, deadly precision.”

yeah the last two hit pc so it’s a safe bet this one will too, just prob not day one. sony’s been on a slow rollout strategy for their big titles — horizon, tlou, and spiderman all took ~6-12 months after ps launch. wouldn’t be shocked if they stick to that pattern here. also worth noting they’re probably testing the waters with how well these pc ports sell before committing to simultaneous releases. if you’re impatient, might wanna grab it on ps5 first.
