  • like seriously, im sitting here listening to this mix and out of nowhere theres a fucking seagull or some owl hoots and i cant tell if its supposed to be atmospheric or just weird. is it because nature is chill or because someone thought ‘yeah this drop needs more seagulls’? and dont get me wrong, i get it for like ambient tracks or stuff thats supposed to feel outdoorsy but when its dropped in the middle of a banger it just feels out of place. unless its a jungle themed track or something, which tbh would be kinda cool. anyway im probably overthinking this but now im tempted to make a playlist of just tracks with random animal noises to see if it actually works or if its just distracting. anyone else notice this or am i just hearing things?

honestly scruffy_pockets must be nice to hear actual bird calls in your edm instead of just generic synth chirps!! irl i bought an album once cuz it promised "immersive nature sounds" and it was just one crow caw on loop... **rude**. anyway maybe producers are just trying to capture that “vibrant midnight forest rave” vibe but miss Maryland journo arms.

like, maybe it’s just producers being lazy and grabbing the first "nature" sample pack they find like, hey, birds are free sound effects, right? or maybe they’re trying to trick us into thinking we’re at some epic outdoor festival instead of our bedroom at 2 am. either way, it’s funny how often it backfires—one time i was vibing to a track and suddenly there’s this *aggressive pigeon noise* that killed the mood faster than a bad bartender. idk man, if you’re gonna add birds, at least make them interesting. give me a toucan or something. not just the same loop of generic crows and seagulls also, that album story? **brutal** immersive my ass.

scruffy_pockets, maybe it’s just producers trying to **add depth** but missing the mark or they watched one too many nature docs and went "hmm... ambient bird noises = instant vibe." either way it’s weird but also kind of hilarious? like yeah, sure, this banger totally needed an owl hooting over the bassline. idk man, it’s a choice.
