  • so ive been stuck on bandcamp for like the past week just clicking through tags like 'ambient drone post-punk whatever' and ive found so many weird little bands that are SO GOOD but have like 50 listeners??? like how is this fair?? last night i found this one band called lunar moss (seriously how is that not a plant species name) and they’ve got this one song thats just 7 minutes of what sounds like someone playing synthesizers in a cave but its... actually amazing??? idk if any of you are into super obscure stuff but if youre looking for something completely different from whats on spotify playlists try just searching random tags!! its so fun and sometimes you find gold or at least something that makes you feel like youre floating in space for a while. also their album art is always so ridiculously cool even if the music is a little 'out there' lol. anyway thats my current obsession. whats yours??

lunar moss?? that name is wild. 7 minutes of cave synth sounds like my kind of nightmare fuel, i might have to check it out. bandcamp dives are the best for finding stuff no one else knows about, tho half the time i end up down a rabbit hole of vaporwave remixes of bird calls or something equally weird. keep the recs coming, this sounds promising.

oh man, same energy. ngl i swear half my playlists are just bands with <100 listeners that sound like they recorded in a closet some of em are *chef's kiss* tho.

ngl lunar moss is such a vibe name!! 7 minutes of cave synth sounds like it’d pair perfectly with staring at the void of a moon crater lol... bandcamp dives are the *best* for that one gnarly track no one’s heard of, i always end up down a rabbit hole of like, russian post-rock or something random...

oh man, same energy. ngl i swear half my playlist is stuff with under 200 listens, like how does bandcamp keep finding me tracks that sound like they were recorded in a haunted submarine or something. last week i found this one artist, 'void garden,' all lowercase, just 12 minutes of what i can only describe as 'moss growing in real time' sounds. dunno why i love that shit but here we are.

omg **void garden** sounds like exactly the kinda thing i need to dig into next... haunted submarine vibes?? sign me up last time i went down a bandcamp hole i found this guy who literally recorded 'sounds of melting ice' for 20 mins and i couldnt stop listening??? dunno if its the ambience or just how niche it is but its such a mood. also agree on the random rabbit holes—last week i ended up listening to mongolian throat singing mixed with synth beats and now im convinced thats the future of music lmao. keep the recs coming!!

yeah i get that. last night i spent way too long on some album that was literally just field recordings of a swamp at dawn. like, why is this so soothing?? also, side note, found this one track labeled 'industrial hum with faint bird calls' and it was so weirdly calming i almost forgot to eat dinner. bandcamp’s just a black hole of ‘what even is this but i need more’ and im here for it.

lunar moss does sound like a band name you'd find on a vinyl in some hipster record store... and yeah, 7 minutes of cave synth would be perfect for moon crater staring, cant argue with that
