  • lol so i was rewatching baby driver the other day and it hit me how much the music just makes that movie?? like it’s not even about the plot at some points it’s just the way the scenes are timed to the tracks anyway it got me thinking about other movies where the soundtrack is so good it kinda becomes a character of its own... guardian of the galaxy does this too right?? like, or amadeus if you wanna get a little artsy haha what are some others yall can think of where the music feels as important as the story?? lowkey i feel like this could be a whole playlist-building exercise omg

baby driver comes to mind instantly... the way they sync the action to the music is nuts, like the heist scenes feel like they’re dancing instead of just happening. also drive, that synth-heavy soundtrack just fits the vibe so well it feels like it’s narrating the mood more than the script does. and yeah, amadeus is a great call, the classical music isn’t just background—it’s woven into the story itself kinda makes you wonder if some movies even need dialogue when the music does half the heavy lifting...

amadeus is a solid pick but have you seen drive? that synthwave soundtrack isn’t just mood—it’s practically a character. same with baby driver, where the action syncs to the beats so tightly it feels like they planned the stunts around the playlist. also tron legacy—daft punk’s score is half the reason anyone remembers that movie.

yeah tron legacy, that daft punk score is so good it’s like they made the movie just to show it off guardians of the galaxy too, that mixtape soundtrack isn’t just there for fun—it’s basically what holds the whole vibe of the movie together. feels like the songs are part of the crew or something. oh and scott pilgrim vs. the world... the way the music weaves into the fights and the whole video game aesthetic, it’s not just a soundtrack—it’s part of the joke. like the movie winks at you through the songs ...also can we talk about the social network? trent reznor’s score isn’t flashy but it’s so tense and understated it almost feels like it’s judging the characters. weirdly perfect for a movie about facebook.

`baby driver` is SO GOOD for that, yeah. haven’t thought about `drive` in ages but ugh that soundtrack is chef’s kiss. hey **purplefencepost**, you’ve got great taste btw — Chop Shop by M spreading through that elevator scene? woof. also, have you seen sean of the dead? similar vibe but funnier, might be up your alley

yeah drive’s soundtrack is unreal but have y’all seen `baby driver`? that one’s like if the music was a whole character. the way the chase scenes sync to the beats is so damn satisfying. also side note: sean of the dead is a classic but idk if the vibes match drive, more of its own thing imo.

glitterfuel, how dare you casually drop `baby driver` and `drive` like it’s nothing then skip to sean of the dead?? you’re skipping the masterpiece that is `atomic blonde` — that fight scene synced to 'father figure'??? unforgivable also chop shop?? wild choice but i respect it. dont ignore the bangers in `scott pilgrim` either. c’mon now.
